4 Belgian Politicians

Four Belgian Politicians is een serie portretten gebaseerd op het werk van Luc Tuymans naar aanleiding van de hetze rondom het vermeende ‘plagiaat’ dat Tuymans heeft gepleegd m.b.t. het naschilderen van een foto van Jean Marie de Decker. Voor de tentoonstelling die werd georganiseerd n.a.v. dit ‘schandaal’ besloot Sorry niet te voldoen aan de uitnodiging van de organisatie om de foto wederom te plagieren. In plaats hiervan pleegden zij plagiaat op het werk van Tuyman zelf. Die hier overigens over zei dat het ‘een van de beste bijdragen aan de tentoonstelling’ was.

Four Belgian Politicians is a series of portraits based on the work of Luc Tuymans, made for the occasion of the alleged 'plagiarism' that Tuymans committed to painting a photograph of Jean Marie de Decker (a belgian politician). For the exhibition that was organized because of this 'scandal', Sorry decided not to comply with the invitation of the organization to plee the picture again. Instead, they committed plagiarism to the work of Tuyman himself. Who then said that it was 'one of the best contributions to the exhibition'.
